Well what a great weekend and reasonable busy one its been at Fort San Antone, Great Birchwood. The Lenne Rockers kicked proceedings off on Friday night. The Lenne Rockers a Brilliant Rock and Roll band best known for the song High Class Lady. This band are one of the most entertaining Rock and Roll bands around today. The double bass player is something to behold. He can play the thing whilst throwing himself round it. The piano player. Yes piano player not keybord player is another entertaining member of the band. Most of the place stops what they are doing and watches when they do there Jerry Lee Lewis bit.
On Saturday night we had The Fabulous Picasso Brothers as support for The Cavern Beat probably the best Beatles tribute act in the world. I have to say they don't look that much like the Beatles but they did sound like them too me. They certainly had every dancing or singing along.
On Sunday lunch we had The Fabulous Picasso Brothers again this time though they were the main act. What can I say really other than they were fabulous. Jonty the lead singer is one of the Brains behind Big Beat who are putting on a Country Music festival weekend a Fort San Antone 23rd 24th and 25 October. I will blog the full details at a latter date. But there is a link to there web page on the left hand side of your screen. I can tell you that the full weekend ticket is £50 and from the line up I have seen thats bloody good value.
