Billy "Bubba" King and his new band Overdrive

In one of my previous posts I mentioned that I could remember seeing Billy for the first time at Fort San Antone. And that by the end of the evening it felt like he was someone I had known for years. Since then nothing has change. Well his set list had but Billy himself hadn't. Well tonight it did.
Billy stop being Billy Bubba King and he became a rocker in a band called Overdrive. Overdrive are still country but not perhaps what some people were use to but if you were to go to a Keith Urban gig you would find him not that different. Overdrive are specializing in the rockier side of country doing Tim Magraw Keith Urban and Jack Ingram type of country. This is the type of country that the likes of The Cheap Seats were doing 10 years ago. I use to love The Cheap Seats and perhaps with Overdrive we may be getting those types of nights back.
Some people may think ooo it doesn't sound like we could line dance to his new band. Errr from the evidence I saw tonight you would be wrong. The dance floor was full most of the time. All in all I would have to say they were excellent. Looking forward to seeing Overdrive again soon
