Its only just dawned on me that even though I have mentioned what a great place Fort San Antone is as a Bar & Grill I have never mentioned where it is situated. The Fort is within the grounds of Great Birchwood Caravan Park. Which is located In between Warton and Lytham. Or the gateway to the beautiful Fylde cost.
Great Birchwood its self is a popular caravan park with a Motel and Bunkhouse facility's. This makes it a perfect location to hold a club or works outing. Family party, even stag and and hen parties have been known to pop in. Just think folks there is no need to drink and drive. Either bring your caravan, tent or phone in advance and book a room. Some of the bunkhouses sleep 8 people. Just think of the fun that could be had.
The Club its self is only open Friday night Saturday night and Sunday Lunch till 7:00. But fear not. If you come during the week there is still plenty to do in the area. If the weather is good why not take a short drive to Lytham and go for a nice stroll along Lytham Green past the Windmill. Or you could drive a little further to St Annes. Where on the prom there you will find Fairhaven Lake boating lake. Very popular. Or if you drive a little further there is the swings and slides, cinema and St Annes Pier.
Of course just 25 minutes away is Blackpool the home of fresh air and fun. I am sure you dont need me to tell what you can get up to in Blackpool. Well ok Clubbing Gambling, The Pleasure Beach, The illuminations, Umpteen strip clubs. Or even go and watch its very own championship football club who won the FA Cup in 1953. and how could I forget the Tower and the 3 Piers. The North Pier is the place to go for Ice Cream. Also don't forget to go and see one of the fortune tellers. Gypsie Petrlengo is probably the most famous.
